·         32-bit and 64-bit versions

both 32 bit (Windows XP, Windows Vista) and 64 bit for Vista Buisness are available
- with 64 bit version it is possible to solve larger problems and usually faster
- for small problems overall performance increased by factor of 2 -5
- for large problems overall performance increased by factor of 2

 

·         Single phase and two-phase dynamic soil-structure interaction module

- dynamic analysis of soil-structure interaction in time domain is fully supported

        for single and two-phase fully or partially saturated media
      - for single-phase media Domain Reduction Method (DRM) by J. Bielak (2001) is implemented, it allows to reduce the size of computational model

      - viscous dampers are developed for both single and two-phase media

 

·         Nails with adhesive interfaces

- 2D/3D analysis of soils strengthened by nails is supported
- nails, treated as beam elements embedded in continuum, may be supplemented by adhesive interfaces following the philosophy used for piles
- the ultimate shear stress set up for continuum materials can be inherited by nails automatically

·         Fixed anchor zone interfaces

- in 2D/3D modeling of prestressed anchors one may add a fixed anchor zone with adhesive interface
- this option allows to model pullout test for the anchor
- fixed anchor zone is treated as truss element embedded in the continuum
- the ultimate shear stress set up for continuum materials can be inherited by fixed anchor zones automatically

·         New mapping method of complex geological layers, defined through boreholes, on 3D meshes


- this option helps to generate a complex distribution of material layers in the 3D domain discretized by means of continuum elements
- kriging procedure is used with user set up variograms
